Our journey
Möbus Engineering GmbH has grown from a hands-on setup into a company that engineers, manufactures and operates lighting infrastructure — built along concrete projects with municipalities and utilities since 2018.
September 2018
Where it all began
With the founding of "Möbus Digital Solutions GbR" we laid the groundwork: a clear technical vision turned into first prototypes and, soon after, first working installations in the field. From day one the focus was real-world operation – technology that doesn't stay in the lab but performs reliably outside.
July 2020
Our first office
With our first dedicated office came solid structure: dedicated development and measurement stations, our own parts inventory and reproducible test procedures. Here we developed, qualified and field-deployed our first devices – the basis for a predictable, engineering-driven development process.
September 2020
We grow
We expanded the team deliberately – with specialists in development, engineering and field deployment. Hardware, software and commissioning now run in parallel rather than sequentially: more speed, more depth and consolidated know-how in-house. Individual projects grew into a robust, scalable engineering operation.
January 2023
From GbR to GmbH
For us this wasn't a mere formality – it was a step into the next stage: more responsibility, clearer structures, scaling instead of "project mode". With the GmbH we professionalised processes, regulated liability and roles cleanly, and laid the foundation to deliver larger projects reliably – production, rollout and long-term operation included.

Move to our current location – back home
We moved to our current site, returning to our home region of Trebur. We now have more space for development, test setups, materials and project preparation, and the location is chosen for short paths – internally as well as to partners, customers and infrastructure.

Möbus at Hannover Messe 2024
Looking back at Hannover Messe 2024: it was a fantastic experience to exhibit at the Hessen joint stand in the Innovation Lab. The fair gave us not only the chance to showcase our latest innovations and technologies, but also a platform to build valuable contacts and gather important insight into our customers' needs.
